      In the face of rising violence and neighborhood tensions in New Haven, this emotionally stirring documentary turns a critical eye on the real and invisible lines that divide New Haven neighborhoods. Unveiling neighborhood turf boundaries while simultaneously exploring the city’s history and race and class divisions, Nevah Wen (New Haven spelled backwards) has prompted candid and intimate dialogue about how to overcome community violence and the institutions that help perpetuate it. Nevah Wen won the 2007 Audience Choice award at the Westport Youth Film Festival.
